Educational Scholarships
Encouraging Self-Sufficiency

Lifestart Foundation believes that every child should have the opportunity to complete their education and has been helping students in Hoi An and the surrounding area for over ten years. Educational scholarships are provided to children who may not have otherwise been able to continue their education because of financial difficulties. Educational scholarships provide an opportunity for disadvantaged children to complete their education and to improve their future employment prospects.
School Fees, Uniforms, Books & Transport
Each student supported by Lifestart Foundation under an educational scholarship will have their school fees, uniforms and books provided. Transport assistance is also given when required. We support children attending government school, university and also have a free school.
The Lifestart Foundation Free School provides opportunities for those who cannot attend mainstream school because of academic reasons or because they have been working on the street to support their families and in turn have missed the opportunity to attend regular school.
Ngoc & Uyen – Exceptional Students

In 2010 Lifestart Foundation launched a seven year educational scholarship program to help exceptionally bright children who are at risk of not being able to complete their education for financial reasons. Students are regularly monitored to ensure that their academic achievement remains excellent and the financial situation of the family is also re-assessed annually. By granting a Seven Year Education Scholarship to the poorest and brightest students we allow these students to DREAM. The dream of a future career and the possibility to attend university, ultimately breaking the cycle of poverty for themselves and their families can then be realized. Through Lifestart Foundation and generous sponsors Ngoc and Uyen both have this fantastic opportunity. More details on their stories can be found on Karen’s blogs.

Two twelve Year Old Girls with a big Opportunity
These two twelve year old girls in grade six come from similar backgrounds. Until recently, the options for their future were very limited and completion of their schooling was highly doubtful due to their families’ economic situations. Both of girls are bright and intelligent; both won awards at school last year for being excellent students. Both are really excited about continuing their education.
