Lifestart Foundation Free School

The class of 2006

The Lifestart Foundation Free School was officially opened in March 2006. The school caters for extremely poor, illiterate, disadvantaged, neglected and abused children aged between 8 and 20 years old.

The Lifestart Foundation Free School provides opportunities for those who cannot attend mainstream school because of academic reasons or because they have been working on the street to support their families and in turn have missed the opportunity to attend regular school.

Whilst school fees to attend a government school would appear to be modest by Western standards if you already struggling to feed your family, finding money to pay for school fees, uniforms, and books can be impossible. Some children have been working on the street to support their families and in turn have missed the opportunity to attend regular school. Others have come from backgrounds where education simply was not valued or deemed important. Lifestart Foundation equips all students with everything they need to attend classes free of charge.

Free School

The Lifestart Foundation Free School aims to create a safe, happy and stimulating environment for these children to attend. By the very nature of the school being free, Lifestart Foundation never wants the lack of money to be the reason why these children are not afforded an education.

In addition to supporting students of the Lifestart Foundation Free School, Lifestart Foundation supports many students who are studying at government schools, paying for their annual school fees, uniforms, and books for one year. In some cases, if the child has to travel a long distance to school, Lifestart Foundation also provides a bicycle.
