The Lifestart Foundation is a grass-roots not-for-profit charity. Founded in 2000 by Australian Karen Leonard the foundation aims to help disadvantaged Vietnamese people, and their families, to become self-sufficient.

Supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, the Lifestart Foundation applies a holistic approach to helping those in need through proven working programs to effect a generational change. The team works to create sustainable and on-going income streams for the disadvantaged via education and vocational training. Those with complex disabilities are given improved opportunities through the Lifestart Foundation Workshop and the Lifestart Foundation Free Disability Community Centre. Assistance also comes in the form of safe accommodation, transportation, medical support and dental treatment.

Lifestart Foundation is also in the process of developing projects that will enable the charity to become self-sufficient. These include the production and sale of Longlife Natural Body Products, Lifestart Foundation Workshop tours and the Stitch-In-Time collaboration between the Lifestart Foundation and Spotlight Australasia.

As a registered charity in both Australia and Vietnam, the Lifestart Foundation can guarantee that 100% of all donations go to projects within Vietnam.
